Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering

Overview

Lead software development engineering teams responsible for scalable rental applications, screening, lease tools, and move-in workflows.

What you'll do

• Define technical strategy and roadmaps for software engineering teams.
• Lead development and operation of scalable, secure, reliable software systems.
• Manage, coach, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers.
• Partner with product and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize work and make trade-offs.
• Track engineering metrics such as reliability, throughput, and quality.
• Coordinate cross-team initiatives and resolve dependencies and risks.
• Drive adoption of CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native engineering practices.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a people leadership role leading production software teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience delivering and scaling high-availability, high-volume applications or platforms in a modern cloud environment.
• Experience building, mentoring, and retaining diverse engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating with product and cross-functional partners on roadmaps and feature delivery.

Details

• Remote position within the United States, with limited exceptions.
• Annual base pay ranges from $196,400 to $330,300 depending on location.
• Eligible for equity awards.
