Staff Software Engineer (MANTL)

Overview

Staff Software Engineer to lead and contribute to building scalable software systems end-to-end, including design, maintenance, and on-call incident response.

What you'll do

• Lead code and design reviews to support daily operations and accurate planning.
• Participate across the application lifecycle with an emphasis on coding and debugging.
• Develop clean code for functional web applications and optimize performance with UI tests.
• Handle on-call escalations by troubleshooting and resolving production disruptions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features.
• Maintain product features and support production systems with monitoring and proactive issue resolution.
• Champion an API-first approach to support integration, scalability, and extensibility.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills (Java or C#) with full-stack development experience.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks including React and Angular, plus HTML and CSS.
• In-depth knowledge of the software development process (design, development, deployment).
• Experience developing and deploying cloud native infrastructure applications.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases plus caching mechanisms and data structure optimization.
• Advanced testing experience including unit, UI automation, and integration tests.
• Experience with Kubernetes, REST API best practices, and OpenTelemetry.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or related field.
• Experience with SaaS offerings in technology and financial industries.
• Experience deploying on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter.
