What you'll need

• Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree, or Diploma / Tool and Die making
• 10-15 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience
• 3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent)
• Engineering calculations and mechanical analysis
• Materials selection and application engineering
• GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes: machining, sheet metal, fabrication, welding, painting, coating and assembly
• Root cause analysis (RCA), failure analysis and corrective action implementation
• Supplier quality and supplier technical management
• Pneumatic system design and component selection
• SAP familiarity (ERP system)
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Engineering documentation and reporting
• Knowledge of ISO standards, including ISO 2768
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Knowledge of a variety of metal fabrication methods, including sheet metal, welding, machining and plating
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to execute in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Nice to have

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing in an OEM/capital equipment production environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
