Senior Memory Characterization Engineer

Overview

Work as a Senior Memory Characterization Engineer in the Hardware Engineering group, focusing on memory characterization, design, validation, and related VLSI activities.

What you'll do

• Work on memory characterization, design, and validation.
• Handle layout parasitic extraction and challenges in deep submicron technologies.
• Write Spice decks, stimulus, and test vectors and validate them.
• Use fast simulator tools for memory-related work.
• Debug memory designs and use waveform viewers.
• Generate NLMD and CCST .libs and perform sign-off QA checks.
• Enable memory compiler flows.
• Validate libraries with tight stimulus sanity runs.
• Mentor and guide junior peers.
• Drive projects independently.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience, or Master's degree in one of these fields and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience, or PhD in one of these fields and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
• Graduate or Post Graduate qualification in Electronics or Electrical engineering with relevant 5-12 years of experience in the VLSI industry.
• Experience in the memory domain.
• Familiarity with layout parasitic extraction and challenges in deep submicron technologies.
• Familiarity with Spice decks and ability to write Spice decks, stimulus, and test vectors and validate them.
• Good knowledge of and hands-on experience with fast simulator tools.
• Good memory design knowledge and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with waveform viewers.
• Familiarity with NLMD + CCST .libs and hands-on experience generating libs and performing sign-off QA checks.
• Familiarity with memory compiler flow enablement.
• Familiarity with validating libs with tight stimulus sanity runs.
• Ability to mentor, drive projects independently, and guide junior peers.

Nice to have

• Experience specifically in memory characterization.
• Scripting knowledge.
