Senior Principal Engineer

Overview

Senior Principal Engineer responsible for leading SDLC and enterprise architecture across projects and portfolios, while mentoring technical teams and guiding technical decision-making in regulated medical-device development.

What you'll do

• Lead SDLC, application lifecycle management, traceability, estimation, and engineering best-practice adoption.
• Define enterprise system architecture and guide design decisions across components and subsystems.
• Influence and mentor technical teams on advanced engineering principles and complex design issue resolution.
• Assess emerging technologies and drive their strategic application across businesses and product lines.
• Serve as an independent reviewer for design reviews, product development, technical documentation, and quality-critical deliverables.
• Contribute to intellectual property strategy, filings, and innovation governance.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 14+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in system architecture and portfolio technology strategy.
• Deep command of SDLC governance, code quality frameworks, and static/dynamic analysis.
• Proven experience influencing and aligning senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Track record of defining scalable engineering procedures, policies, and coding standards.
