Overview
Lead the product strategy for how Zillow's Preferred program measures agent performance, how that performance drives which agents customers are matched with, and how agents and team leaders see and improve their results.
What you'll do
- Define how agent performance is measured and set the roadmap for how it changes over time, including which inputs it uses and how changes reach agents, working with data science and engineering.
- Shape how performance drives matching, balancing agent supply with customer demand across markets so customers get great agents and strong agents get more opportunities.
- Build the performance experience agents see, including reports, rankings, notifications, and AI-driven coaching, so every agent knows where they stand and which step will help most.
- Give team leaders clear performance tools so they can manage at scale and see who needs support and what kind.
- Define goals and success metrics, run experiments and research with agents, and iterate based on how agents behave and how the business responds.
- Lead hard tradeoff decisions on fairness, transparency, and regulatory questions with legal, and align operations, marketing, and leadership on decisions that affect thousands of agents and buyers.
What you'll need
- 5+ years managing products from concept to launch, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical skills; you build your case with data and evidence, design sound experiments, and are comfortable working hands-on with data.
- Marketplace thinking; you understand how supply, demand, and matching decisions affect both sides of a marketplace.
- Experience owning a scoring, ranking, or marketplace-quality product where the model's output directly affects users.
- Close partner to data science; you can dig into how a model behaves, not just its headline metric.
- Skilled at turning complex systems into simple, actionable experiences.
- Proven ability to drive decisions across product, operations, legal, and leadership through clear writing.
Nice to have
- Real estate, lending, or two-sided marketplace experience.
