Overview
Own the product vision for simplifying and automating how schedule changes are identified, evaluated, communicated, and resolved, helping airlines reduce manual servicing while delivering a better traveller experience.
What you'll do
- Define how the product evolves from manual and rules-based servicing towards increasingly automated, intelligent, and self-service schedule change management.
- Translate airline operational challenges and traveller needs into clear product requirements, features, and measurable outcomes.
- Prioritise investments based on customer value, operational impact, strategic alignment, and technical feasibility.
- Develop solutions covering the end-to-end schedule change lifecycle, including detection and classification of itinerary changes, assessment of impacted passengers and itineraries, airline policies and reaccommodation rules, identification and presentation of alternative flights, automated and agent-assisted reaccommodation, traveller notification and acceptance, digital self-service, ticketing and servicing considerations, handling of ancillary products and associated services, interline and partner-airline scenarios, and exceptions requiring manual intervention.
- Ensure solutions can support different airline policies, thresholds, workflows, and customer servicing strategies.
- Partner with adjacent product areas such as DCS, reservations, disruption management/IROPs, retailing, customer servicing, notifications, and airport solutions.
- Engage directly with airline customers to understand current workflows, pain points, requirements, and desired business outcomes.
- Serve as a product subject-matter expert in customer discussions, workshops, demonstrations, and roadmap reviews.
- Monitor airline industry trends and evolving expectations around automated servicing and traveller self-service.
- Balance individual airline requirements with the development of scalable product capabilities.
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, UX, operations, and other product teams to translate strategy into executable product increments.
- Develop clear epics, requirements, acceptance criteria, and business priorities.
- Make product trade-offs across customer demand, technical complexity, operational risk, and strategic value.
- Manage dependencies with upstream and downstream airline systems and product teams.
- Partner with delivery teams throughout development, testing, rollout, and adoption.
- Build business cases for product investment and clearly articulate expected customer and business value.
- Define and track product success measures such as schedule changes resolved automatically, reduction in manual servicing, traveller self-service adoption, time to resolution, contact-centre/agent workload reduction, and customer adoption and satisfaction.
- Support commercial teams with product positioning, customer proposals, and strategic opportunities.
