Senior Project Engineer SCADA Networking

Overview

Senior Project Engineer responsible for HMI/SCADA development, database creation, gateway server configuration, technical coordination and ensuring SCADA systems meet customer requirements and Hitachi standards for AC Substation and HVDC projects.

What you'll do

• Continuously improve HVDC overall HMI.
• Develop SCADA/HMI applications using Micro SCADA and Zenon SCADA software.
• Design and develop a secured network overall architecture for SCADA/HMI systems for AC Substation and HVDC projects.
• Coordinate technically with sub-suppliers and multiple stakeholders in different locations.
• Work hands-on with routers, firewalls, switches, servers and workstations.
• Create templates, faceplates and popups in Micro SCADA and Zenon SCADA.
• Discuss with other departments and stakeholders to prepare the Division of Works.
• Participate in FAT/SAT activities with sub-suppliers.
• Provide technical support at site during the project commissioning phase.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
• Evaluate and strengthen the security of connections to the DCS/SCADA/HMI network.
• Lead automation projects and guide or mentor the team on business requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE, EEE or E&I.
• Minimum project work experience of 13+ years in substations.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to finalize the solution.
• Knowledge and skills in Micro SCADA.
• Knowledge and skills in Zenon (Copa Data).
• Knowledge and skills in MS Visio.
• Knowledge and experience in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
• Basic networking skills.
• Proficiency and fluency in English.

Nice to have

• SCADA/HMI certifications.
• Networking certifications, including CCNA or CCNP.
• Cyber Security certification or knowledge.
• Good knowledge of process automation or power grid automation.
