Lead Power Electronics Engineer

Overview

Lead the design, development, sizing, simulation, testing, validation, and certification of low- and medium-voltage variable speed/frequency drives.

What you'll do

• Size drives and filters and design core AC/DC power electronics hardware.
• Calculate losses, earth and protection circuits, arc flash, and root causes.
• Use calculations, modeling, and simulations to meet product and project requirements.
• Prepare configurations, operating principles, specifications, BOMs, single-line diagrams, and drawings.
• Verify prototype hardware under specified operating conditions.
• Conduct functional testing and project factory acceptance tests to applicable standards.
• Support equipment manufacturing and coordinate execution with engineering and project teams.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of power electronics design and testing experience for industrial drives.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
• Ability to mentor and guide teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD or E-Plan.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
