Senior Project Lead

Overview

Senior Project Lead in JLL's Project and Development Services team, Chennai, responsible for the overall success of major projects, guiding teams through each phase to meet client expectations and JLL's commercial objectives.

What you'll do

• Take total responsibility for the overall success of major projects, guiding teams in each phase to achieve outcomes that exceed clients' expectations and meet JLL's commercial objectives.
• Lead from the front while understanding the points of view of a range of stakeholders.
• Establish an effective organisational structure for reporting, communication and working procedures for each project.
• Ensure clear objectives and quality control systems are in place for each project.
• Lead a highly motivated project team in sync with stakeholders' mind-sets.
• Attend project meetings, submit monthly reports and monitor project budgets.
• Maintain a strong and positive relationship with clients by identifying their needs, requirements and constraints.
• Manage project revenue and payment cycles.
• Keep an eye on business opportunities, build rapport with prospects, survey client needs and support the preparation of PM proposals.
• Develop relationships with other company business lines and communicate and collaborate with them.
• Create a network of professional consultants who can deliver the required scope of every project.
• Handle contract administration of all vendors professionally and according to legal requirements.
• Identify project risks and mitigate them.
• Develop project-related reports, analyses and reviews regularly.

What you'll need

• A degree in any property-related discipline, or equivalent experience where applicable.
• At least 10 to 12 years' experience in design, construction or project management.
• Deep understanding of the legal environment for projects in respect to planning, commercial aspects, and delivery.
• Superior communication skills to handle complex conversations with business owners, senior executives and decision makers.
• Ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders and see things from their perspective.
• Structured and organised approach, with an eye for detail.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and deal effectively with tight deadlines and high expectations.
