Sr Lead, Tech Project Manager

Overview

Senior Lead Technology Project Manager leading large infrastructure lifecycle upgrade projects, reporting to the Modernization / EOL Director, to keep the firm's technology on supported platforms that are secure, reliable and resilient.

What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT project management and strategies.
• Undertake complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.
• Advance planning and project execution for end of life / end of support software.
• Advance planning and project execution for targeted exit platforms and software.
• Define project scope and objectives.
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Drive conversations with application and infrastructure team members and leadership to identify and close key technical issues.
• Direct roadmap planning exercises and work with key business and infrastructure team members to define and complete roadmaps.
• Lead large infrastructure lifecycle upgrade projects upgrading a major infrastructure technology (e.g. Operating System, Middleware, Database) and all associated applications, including financial management, resource management, dependency management, multi-year planning, reporting, stakeholder management, and audit compliance.
• Identify and resolve key program risks and program blockers, and provide critical data and business analysis to drive program decisions.
• Work directly with business unit service delivery managers to ensure vendor lifecycle management program initiatives are met against key timelines, budgets, and competing business priorities.
• Work with architects and senior leaders to design an implementation pattern, plan the project based on that pattern, and drive the project to closure.
• Take projects from original concept through final implementation, serving as single point of contact, and ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.

What you'll need

• Understanding of technical concepts included in implementation patterns.
• Experience being part of large projects.
