Senior R2R Accountant

Overview

Senior RTR Accountant responsible for inventory and intercompany accounting within Hitachi Vantara, ensuring compliance with company processes and accounting policies.

What you'll do

• Reconcile all financial aspects related to inventory subledger transactions.
• Review on-hand and on-loan inventory levels to provide inputs for net inventory valuation.
• Provide detailed commentary on stock level fluctuations.
• Recognize intercompany transactions between entities within the Group.
• Prepare and post transfer pricing adjustments.
• Perform month-end close activities in line with Accounting Policies, SOX and Internal Procedures.
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits and ensure completion within time.
• Work on multiple systems at once to deliver full and accurate accounting for inventory and intercompany transactions.
• Analyze financial results and mitigate risks that could result in a financial misstatement.
• Perform trend analytics to spot anything out of the ordinary that needs further inspection.
• Build relationships that enable you to more effectively perform the accounting function.

What you'll need

• CA, CA Inter, CMA, ICWA or MBA.
• 3 years of work experience.
• Excellent knowledge of inventory control procedures and processing of claims, redemptions, price protection and rebates relating to vendor funding.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills, logical reasoning, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, ensuring tasks are completed appropriately and deadlines are met.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial accounting systems (Oracle).

• Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India.
• Works closely with the Distribution Centre, Logistics Team, European Headquarters and US Corporate Finance Teams, and with accountants of other GFSS departments.
