Senior Sales Engineer, India

Overview

Lead the technical pre-sales process for Proofpoint’s cybersecurity solutions in India. Partner with sales teams and customers to design solutions, demonstrate products, and support evaluations.

What you'll do

• Develop account penetration strategies with enterprise sales teams.
• Serve as the main technical contact for customers and prospects.
• Deliver product demonstrations addressing cybersecurity threats.
• Lead technical discovery and Proof-of-Concept evaluations.
• Design complex security solutions across the Proofpoint portfolio.
• Share customer insights with product, marketing, and engineering teams.
• Travel interstate regularly.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in sales engineering, systems engineering, technical account management, or security engineering.
• Experience in enterprise or cloud security.
• Ability to present to technical staff and C-suite audiences.
• Exposure to at least two cybersecurity skill areas listed in the description.
• Strong PowerPoint, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly.

Nice to have

• CISSP or relevant cybersecurity or cloud security certifications.
• Experience selling and positioning a platform.
• Knowledge of email authentication, networking protocols, MITRE, or NIST frameworks.
