Senior SE/Staff Engineer- C#.net Distributed System

Overview

Senior SE/Staff Engineer role on the UEM Platform team for Workspace ONE, owning the design and development of scalable software for a distributed, event-driven application that manages billions of devices across operating system platforms.

What you'll do

• Write code and design and develop scalable software for the UEM Platform.
• Own engineering initiatives and champion high ownership, continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• Produce software designs for new use cases across various platform businesses.
• Produce designs to scale the current system.
• Collaboratively work across other teams, designing and contributing code to their code bases.
• Look at the product as a whole to find code, design and architecture gaps and scalability, usability and supportability challenges, and propose and implement solutions.
• Work on a distributed application built on an event-driven architecture.
• Work with C# (ASP.NET and .NET Core) on the server side.
• Work with SQL, PostgreSQL and OpenSearch for the database.
• Work with Kafka, Redis and RabbitMQ for inter- and intra-service communication.
• Work with ASP.NET MVC and an Angular front-end.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency with C# and the .NET Framework.
• 8+ years of experience (mandatory).
• Understanding of distributed systems.
• Experience with object-oriented design and multi-threaded programming.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills and log analysis for troubleshooting.
• Demonstrable knowledge of large-scale deployments in enterprise technology environments.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing.
• Ability to write quality code, unit tests and integration tests using mocking and instrumentation.
• A high degree of ownership: the ability to determine what needs to be done and make it happen.
• Security and compliance consciousness.
• Experience developing automated tests, such as unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
