Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Serve as a key engineer building the core catalog and settlement systems for hundreds of thousands of merchants on the Coupang Eats platform, closely partnering with business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Serve as a key engineer who makes decisions on the system design
• Develop sustainable services to grow by designing scalable architectures and systems
• Build the ecosystem with tech stacks such as Cloud Native (AWS), MSA, Spring boot, JPA, Elastic stack, Docker, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, Cassandra etc.
• Obsess over data consistency and availability to guarantee great merchant experience
• Take responsibility for code review and design review, and raise the bar of engineering excellence
• Collaborate and communicate seamlessly with team members and stakeholders

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related fields
• 6+ years of coding experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
• 3+ years of solid work with distributed systems, DB schema design, and data processing
• Experience designing and building large scale services, and operating experiences
• Proactive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
