Senior Software Engineer [L5]

Overview

Join the Rocket Growth Inbound and Logistics Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable, reliable, and intelligent systems supporting sellers and the end-to-end Rocket Growth supply chain. The role focuses on backend or full stack engineering, scalable data systems, seller experiences, shipment logistics, and warehouse operations.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and automate large-scale, high-performance systems to drive business growth and enhance product experiences.
• Build scalable data infrastructure and pipelines using best-in-class software engineering practices.
• Take full ownership of projects, ensuring high-quality development and operational health.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field.
• 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience working in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining highly available, distributed systems.
• Strong inclination to learn and grow.

Nice to have

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring, AWS, APIs and Big Data technologies such as Kafka, Elasticsearch.
• Exceptional coding skills, with a focus on data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, refactoring, performance optimization, and complexity analysis.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements and collaborate with product and technical teams.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining distributed systems at scale, making trade-offs based on business demands.
• Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with Front-end development leveraging the power of AI.

• Location: Bengaluru.
• Hybrid work model.
• Employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, depending on the role requirement.
