Senior Software Engineer

Overview

PAR Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, test, and maintain scalable software solutions. The role includes technical leadership, production troubleshooting, design and code reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Write clean, maintainable, and extensible code.
• Design software components from business and technical requirements.
• Build scalable, tested, and high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, including critical after-hours incidents.
• Perform design and code reviews.
• Support the technical and professional growth of team members.
• Work with cross-functional teams on consistent, high-quality deliveries.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years of expert-level C# .NET experience.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL database systems.
• Experience with front-end frameworks or libraries such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Bootstrap.
• Strong object-oriented analysis, design, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with UML, domain-driven design, and microservices.
• Experience leading software development project teams.
• Experience with distributed, event-based architectures or AWS and Azure.
