Overview
Senior Software Engineer – Data Architect responsible for defining and implementing enterprise data architecture strategy and ensuring data governance across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design and implement scalable enterprise data architecture solutions on the data platform.
- Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and modeling using Snowflake, Tableau, and AWS.
- Partner with stakeholders to define data requirements and build data models, schemas, mappings, transformations, and metadata.
- Design, implement, and maintain data integration with high data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Develop semantic models for business intelligence and reporting, including dimensions, facts, metrics, and measures.
- Oversee implementation through production, troubleshoot complex issues, and monitor/optimize pipeline performance.
- Integrate AI/ML technologies into the data architecture to enhance processing and analytics.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data management, and data governance (or related field).
- Proven experience as a Data Architect (or similar role) and defining/implementing data governance.
- Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Hands-on SQL and Python skills.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL.
- Proficiency with data modeling tools including ER/Studio, Erwin Data Modeler, Lucidchart, MySQL Workbench, and Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler.
- Ability to translate business requirements into semantic models supporting reporting and analytics using Tableau.
Nice to have
- Experience with data management regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data analytics.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
