Data Analyst

Overview

Amex GBT is seeking an experienced Data Analyst for its Innovation and Development team. You will lead data-driven initiatives, build scalable data solutions, and mentor junior team members using analytics technologies.

What you'll do

• Design and implement data architectures for business intelligence and analytics.
• Develop and optimize data processing pipelines using industry-standard tools.
• Champion data quality by ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a technical product manager on product backlog prioritization for sprints.
• Mentor junior data analysts and support continuous learning.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and architectural documentation.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
• 3+ years hands-on experience creating and implementing data architecture designs.
• Advanced proficiency with data processing tools including Alteryx and Knime.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL for complex query development and database optimization.
• Strong Python skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
• Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or ThoughtSpot.

Details

• Work location: Bangalore, India (must work from Bangalore office at least 3 days per week).
• Availability: willing/able to work 2nd shifts (3:00 PM IST to 12:00 AM IST) and occasional weekends as required.
