Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior UI Engineer to help extend and evolve a design systems team’s platform, “Anvil,” and build AI-enabled tools for UI design and development.

What you'll do

• Contribute code and provide component feedback for the design system.
• Partner with Design and Engineering teams to extend tooling and shared processes for many product teams.
• Leverage AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Gemini, GitHub Copilot) and improve internal AI skills and tooling.
• Build tools/processes for tests, automation, build/release improvements, documentation, and accessibility.
• Build infrastructure/tooling so designers and engineers can use design system assets and guidelines with AI tools.
• Document and maintain engineering standards, including how and why patterns should be used.
• Maintain repository integrity and security and drive design system adoption via communication and monitoring metrics.

What you'll need

• Experience building production-level web UI with React and modern build tools.
• Experience with AI codegen tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Understanding of AI concepts including LLM, MCP, skills, and tools.
• Experience building complex libraries used by multiple teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, & JS and the stated tech stack (React, TypeScript, Vanilla Extract, Sass, Vite, etc.).
• Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to anticipate partners’ needs.
