Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer to join the Provider Infrastructure and Provider Roster Management teams, building Zocdoc's provider platform that stores and serves provider, location and roster data and propagates provider changes to downstream systems.

What you'll do

• Build and evolve services and tools that power scaling initiatives across Provider Infrastructure and Roster Management.
• Write clean, well-tested code across C#, React and AWS-based services.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, PMs, designers and Ops to shape solutions from idea to launch.
• Contribute to service migrations away from legacy systems toward modern, event-driven architectures.
• Use metrics, dashboards and load tests to keep services healthy and observable as usage grows.
• Share knowledge and feedback to help the team move faster and make better technical decisions.
• Balance individual contribution with mentorship, working across the stack with an emphasis on robust, observable services and high-scale data flows.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with significant backend or full-stack work on distributed systems.
• Experience shipping features or services for high-scale systems (internal tools, data pipelines or user-facing applications) where correctness, resilience and performance matter.
• Comfort working across the stack and learning unfamiliar parts of a system when needed.
• Experience in an agile, cross-functional environment, collaborating with product, design, analytics and operations partners.
• A track record of mentoring other engineers and raising the bar on testing, observability and deployment practices.
• Solid communication skills and empathy for both internal users and external customers.
