Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Join Pitney Bowes as a Senior Software Engineer (Backend Developer - GoLang) to design and develop cloud-based SaaS offerings for small and medium-sized customers. The role involves building highly scalable cloud solutions in an agile setting and collaborating with architects, UX experts, product managers and software developers.

What you'll do

• Build optimized, scalable and modular software using required technologies.
• Develop and code back-end components.
• Connect applications to other web services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs.
• Evaluate and incorporate new technologies into new and existing frameworks and solutions as applicable.
• Lead the development of the SaaS-based offering.

What you'll need

• 4 – 6 years of experience.
• At least 2 year of experience with Golang.
• Expertise in implementing micro services.
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases and ability to write complex queries and optimize them.
• Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, RKT and Kubernetes.
• Basic experience with CI/CD systems such as Gitlab and Jenkins.
• Basic experience working with AWS/Google Cloud.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Java based systems.
• Basic understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Sumologic, Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Basic understanding of telemetry tools such as Prometheus.
