Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing and developing Java-based software solutions, improving system resilience and engineering quality, and supporting scalable production systems.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain performant, scalable Java applications.
• Collaborate with distributed cross-functional agile teams.
• Review code, pair-program, and improve coding practices.
• Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews.
• Participate in planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and releases.
• Support production systems through an on-call roster.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code and engineering improvement guilds.

What you'll need

• Experience with Java or JVM technologies, preferably Spring Boot.
• Understanding of microservice architectures and RESTful APIs.
• AWS experience with services including EC2, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda, or S3.
• Competence with relational and key/value databases.
• Understanding of testing, build pipelines, Docker, and CI/CD systems.
• Ability to keep up with relevant technologies and programming practices.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with Kotlin.
