Senior Software Engineer, CX (Lua/Kong)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (CX) working on the Platform API team, which provides API governance for the CXone development organization.

What you'll do

• Coordinate with Architecture and Network Engineering to understand and develop platform architecture.
• Develop a Dockerized API-proxy solution using Kong API Gateway with Lua best practices.
• Extend and refine AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation templates and ECS auto-scaling.
• Develop and manage platform AWS components including Elastic Cache, DynamoDB, VPC, and Route 53.
• Design, implement, run, and report performance testing results; define performance needs.
• Define CloudWatch logs and alarms, troubleshoot, and fix issues in a defined release cadence.
• Build Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for deployment, acceptance tests, and monitoring environment health.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years’ experience in software development.
• Experience with Lua and/or Kong and/or Golang.
• Experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting RESTful APIs.
• Experience with DynamoDB and observability dashboards.
• Working knowledge of unit testing and test automation.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns.
