Senior Software Engineer Backend

Overview

Senior Software Engineer Backend responsible for building scalable eCommerce backend services and APIs supporting Cart, Checkout, and related online experiences.

What you'll do

• Architect and develop backend services and APIs using NodeJS.
• Maintain high-performance backend systems.
• Design and set up NoSQL databases and search indexes.
• Solve complex technical challenges involving scale and performance.
• Mentor engineering peers.
• Maintain code quality and development practices.
• Improve infrastructure using modern engineering practices.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in API development.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in Python, JavaScript, and NodeJS.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud offerings such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB.
• Experience with search technologies such as OpenSearch and graph databases.
• Familiarity with API standards and frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/LLM-driven use cases.
• Experience using code AI tools such as Copilot or Windsurf.
• Experience working in a distributed team environment.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
