Overview
Lead the Insights application engineering team while remaining hands-on in production web application development. Drive modernization, reliability, delivery execution, and migration from Azure to AWS.
What you'll do
- Lead and coach engineers across development, cloud, DevOps, production support, and release validation.
- Provide technical leadership for .NET/C#, APIs, React/Redux, Azure, CI/CD, and AWS migration.
- Define application architecture, modernization priorities, scalability, reliability, and AWS target-state design.
- Own roadmap delivery, technical debt, operational improvements, incident response, releases, and production support.
- Partner with Product, Data Engineering, QA, DevOps, Support, and business stakeholders on technical plans and priorities.
- Improve code quality, testing, observability, release management, incident learning, and service-level objectives.
- Strengthen reliability across multi-tenant architecture, access models, processing, messaging, integrations, and data dependencies.
What you'll need
- Recent hands-on experience building, reviewing, and operating production web applications.
- Strong experience with .NET/C#, API development, React or comparable SPA frameworks, and web architecture.
- Experience leading engineering teams through planning, technical decisions, production support, and releases.
- Azure production experience and hands-on AWS experience with application workloads and cloud migration or cutover.
- Experience with CI/CD, release engineering, environment management, and deployment workflow improvement.
- Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, observability, service health, and reliability improvement.
- Experience using Cursor or a comparable AI coding assistant across development and production-quality practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with Power BI, embedded analytics, or BI/reporting platforms.
- Deeper AWS architecture, multi-tenant systems, frontend modernization, or data engineering experience.
- Experience with payments, billing, SSO, SOC 2, vertical SaaS, fitness, wellness, or multi-product platforms.
