Senior Software Engineer – Backend (Travel)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role on the backend team at Paytm, building robust, scalable server-side systems.

What you'll need

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 to 6 years of experience in server-side development
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot and Microservices
• Good understanding of software design principles, system design and scalable architecture
• Experience with RDBMS, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis/Aerospike and AWS
• Experience in performance tuning and scaling at the API and storage layers
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills

Nice to have

• Node.js
• Exposure to Generative AI, Agentic AI or AI-powered development tools
