Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Software Engineer II) at NCR Voyix, contributing to the design, development and maintenance of software solutions within an agile team.

What you'll do

• Own the coding and design of a sub-module.
• Review requirements and provide simple, workable solutions.
• Design and document the sub-module working with the tech lead.
• Implement the critical parts of the module.
• Ensure coding standards, proper design patterns and writing test cases.
• Mentor junior programmers and perform peer and junior programmer code reviews.
• Work independently and proactively to deliver production-ready code with minimal guidance.
• Work as a full stack developer using web technologies such as HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript, Nest JS, Next JS, Angular or ReactJS.
• Work with server technologies such as J2EE, J2SE and other web server technologies, and one of the cloud technologies (AWS, Google or Azure).

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong experience in developing backend systems using JavaScript (Node.js) or Java, with frameworks like Express.js or Spring Boot, and databases like MySQL or MongoDB.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a stack of Angular JS, CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap or React/Vue.js/Next.js.
• Overall experience of 4+ years in software development.
• Ability to work in a team structure and deliver projects on time.
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-changing environment.
• Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of any cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Strong troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business and technical requirements.
• Ability to document requirements in Word documents and/or UML diagrams.
