Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack developer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the Mastercard Account Management Services team, enhancing and modernizing payments services on a global, at-scale technology platform with a focus on performance, security and reliability.

What you'll do

• Develop (code) enterprise applications with quality, within schedule and within estimated efforts.
• Assist Lead Engineer in low level design.
• Provide estimates for assigned tasks.
• Write and execute unit and integration test cases.
• Provide accurate status of tasks.
• Perform peer review and mentor junior team members.
• Comply with organization processes and policies and protect organization's intellectual property.
• Participate in organization-level process improvement and knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience in React JS, Node JS and enterprise web application development.
• Hands-on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, Spring (MVC, IOC, AOP, Security), SQL, RDBMS (Oracle and PostgreSQL), Web-services (JSON and SOAP), Kafka and Zookeeper.
• Hands-on experience developing microservice applications and deploying them on any one public cloud (Google, AWS, Azure, PCF).
• Hands-on experience using IntelliJ, Eclipse or MyEclipse IDE.
• Hands-on experience writing JUnit test cases and working with Maven, Ant or Gradle, and Git.
• Knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Strong logical and analytical skills and design skills; able to articulate and present thoughts clearly and precisely in English, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of security concepts (e.g. authentication, authorization, confidentiality) and protocols, and their usage in enterprise applications.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the payments application domain.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Mockito, JBehave, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, Rally and Jira.
• Preferable: NoSQL experience with Cassandra.
