Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Work as a Senior Software Engineer developing server-side APIs and services for Zeta Marketing Platform, a machine learning/AI-powered, multi-tenant customer acquisition and CRM platform. Design and own distributed systems and high-throughput components for a real-world marketing automation platform.

What you'll do

• Understand business requirements independently and cooperatively.
• Design and implement core components for a real-world marketing automation platform.
• Design and implement application code to satisfy product requirements.
• Ensure high product quality through rigorous code reviews and unit tests.
• Fix bugs and implement enhancements.
• Take ownership of a significant product component in design and implementation.
• Design, develop, and own distributed systems for the Zeta platform.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Product managers to develop a roadmap and subsequent projects.

What you'll need

• At least 4 years of experience developing scalable, robust software platforms using Java, Ruby, Python, or an equivalent language.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4 - 8 years of working experience with J2EE technology, Python, or an equivalent object-oriented paradigm.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elastic Search, Airflow, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS.
• Experience with SQL languages.
• Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture.
• Extensive design and development experience.
• Strong communication skills in a large-distributed development team environment.

Nice to have

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field from a university where the primary language of instruction is English is strongly desired.
• Experience in the Advertising Attribution domain.
• Experience working with container-based solutions.
