Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform Foundations

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Temporal’s Cloud Platform Foundations team, building and operating core infrastructure behind Temporal Cloud.

What you'll do

• Enable continuous regional failover and improve HA/DR resilience.
• Automate control plane operations to improve reliability and developer efficiency.
• Scale and optimize the data layer while maintaining latency, reliability, and availability.
• Redesign the path from commit to production as deployment frequency and headcount grow.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for safer control plane rollouts with better test coverage.

What you'll need

• Backend engineering experience with a cloud/infrastructure focus.
• Experience on a control plane team for cloud-based microservices.
• Background building or operating multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Strong Postgres (or similar relational database) experience.
• Track record designing for high availability and managing compute/traffic at scale.
• CLI and DevOps fluency.
