Senior Software Engineer (Database Developer)

Overview

Develop and maintain Oracle database solutions for high-availability payment platforms within a globally distributed engineering team and SAFe delivery environment.

What you'll do

• Contribute to sprint planning, execution, and continuous improvement in a SAFe Scrum team.
• Collaborate with onshore teams to deliver features and resolve defects.
• Design, develop, and maintain solutions across a multi-technology stack.
• Support production systems for performance, resilience, and enterprise standards.
• Improve engineering practices, automation, and delivery processes.

What you'll need

• 5 years of Oracle database development experience.
• Experience writing complex PL/SQL solutions.
• Experience with SQL performance tuning, data modelling, migration, quality, and ETL.
• Experience supporting high-availability, high-volume production systems.
• Experience implementing automated deployment pipelines and database release processes.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, and distributed-team collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Exadata.
• Knowledge of Java and test automation.
• Exposure to payment systems or financial services.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability platforms.
