Senior Software Engineer - E3 - Instawork Robotics

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Instawork Robotics) will lead technical execution in Bengaluru for large-scale physical AI training data systems.

What you'll do

• Build and ship end-to-end features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Lead development of Instawork Lens and Instawork Radiant for high-throughput data enrichment, labeling, and QA.
• Architect and scale AWS/ECS-based cloud environments for video transcoding.
• Design and optimize petabyte-scale data pipelines for secure processing of video and telemetry.
• Apply agentic models to accelerate engineering while making final architectural decisions.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews, pair programming, and architectural discussions.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, database internals, and network constraints.
• Full-stack development experience with Python, Django, React, or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on cloud/infrastructure experience with AWS and ECS/Docker, including CloudWatch.
• Ability to design scalable backend systems for data-heavy/high-throughput applications.
• Lean ~80% coding time (as stated).
