Senior Software Engineer -Java - Diag Tool

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Java) on the Diag Tool team at Embitel Technologies' CARIAD Centre of Excellence in Bangalore, working on Volkswagen Group diagnostic tooling.

What you'll need

• Good computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office; Linux desirable)
• Good handling of structured data editors and MCD systems
• Programming experience in Java 17 or higher, including module system Jigsaw
• Programming experience with JavaFX and JAXB
• Understanding of dynamic entity models
• Safe handling of Git
• Experience dealing with XML and respective schemas programmatically
• Experience dealing with Gradle
• Experience dealing with Eclipse and other development environments
• Experience dealing with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Experience dealing with GitHub Enterprise Server, GitHub Actions workflows, and GitHub Copilot
• Experience dealing with the Volkswagen Group's diagnostic development process
• Good knowledge of the Volkswagen Group diagnostic Q-LAH (e.g. VW801XX) and the standards ISO 14229 Part 1-5 (UDS), ASAM MCD 2D (ODX) Version 2.0.1 and 2.2.0
• Good knowledge of ASAM MCD 3D API version 3.0.0 and VW-MCD
• Experience dealing with test specification, conduction, automation, and reporting
• Effective project and resource management
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
• Knowledge of Python 3.9 or higher
• Programming experience with SpringBoot
• Experience dealing with JSON, YAML, RAL, XML and respective schemas programmatically
• Experience dealing with TypeScript (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS) and the Electron platform
• Understanding of OpenAPI and REST APIs
• Safe handling of Docker
• Working independently, with proactive decisions, open and clear communication, determination and an Agile mindset

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the "IB1" commissioning processes and their schema
• Good knowledge of German
