Senior Software Engineer - Java/Gen AI/LLM

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for building Java and Spring Boot microservices and applying Generative AI and LLM technologies to secure, scalable mortgage solutions.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java 17+ Spring Boot microservices.
• Implement and optimize RESTful APIs.
• Translate mortgage business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive GenAI and LLM workflow orchestration and agentic systems.
• Conduct code reviews and promote DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot and support production systems for availability and performance.
• Document systems and contribute to architectural standards.

What you'll need

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java, preferably Java 17+, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLM workflows, and prompt design.
• Experience with microservices, integration patterns, and secure coding.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Proficiency with Gradle, Git, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience with event streaming, cloud-native patterns, or DevSecOps.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-model LLM strategies and GenAI developer tools.
• Understanding of model risk, explainability, and validation in regulated environments.
• Mortgage domain experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a technical lead.
• Knowledge of document processing or workflow optimization in mortgage systems.
• Experience with Oracle JDBC (UCP).
