Senior Software Engineer - Java/Prime Brokerage/AI

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for developing and supporting Java-based applications in technology and capital markets environments, including Prime Brokerage and related trading systems.

What you'll do

• Design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects.
• Lead moderately complex technical initiatives and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain high-performance Java applications.
• Review and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Lead projects and serve as an escalation point.
• Guide less experienced staff and collaborate with peers and managers.
• Support technology transformations and application modernization.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8 or later.
• Experience with Spring, RESTful APIs, Hibernate, SQL, and Oracle.
• Experience with Java web application development and multithreading.
• Strong problem-solving, technical design, communication, and leadership skills.
• Understanding of AI-driven software development.
• Experience leading technology transformations and application modernization.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
• Prime Brokerage, capital markets, or investment banking experience.
• Experience with microservices, cloud platforms, DevOps tools, Kafka, Redis, or front-end technologies.
