Senior Software Engineer - Multi-Product Platform

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Abnormal AI’s Multi-Product Platform, focused on improving customer onboarding and proof-of-value experience.

What you'll do

• Build and iterate on product offerings, APIs, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain feature buildouts for user experience.
• Ensure system stability and reliability through reviews and on-call rotation.
• Write code with testability, readability, edge-case handling, and error handling.
• Prepare and review technical design documents.
• Communicate asynchronously to share updates, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Own projects and collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer.
• Ability to own and drive complex systems end-to-end.
• Strong production experience writing Python code.
• Experience working with Postgres databases.
• Strong system design experience building resilient, scalable applications.
• Knowledge of service health, monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills; able to work autonomously and asynchronously.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang and Airflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT and Cursor.
