Senior Software Engineer - Networking Datapath (L3/MPLS Forwarding)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Networking Datapath focusing on L3/MPLS forwarding. The role is designed as on-site work from an HPE office.

What you'll do

• Develop product platforms for next-gen Access and Aggregation deployments, Metro, and Mobile Backhaul.
• Work with JunOS or Junos EVO software architecture for networking datapath.
• Collaborate with product management and system and solution test teams to ensure high-quality deliveries.
• Provide engineering assistance with Juniper Technical Assistance Team during critical customer escalations.

What you'll need

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Bring around 8–15 years of experience, preferably in a router/switch company.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of Router/Switch architecture.
• Have prior experience in one or more domains including L3 Forwarding or MPLS/L3VPN.
• Show experience in design/development of forwarding software.
• Have strong coding and debugging skills with extensive core file analysis experience.

• Strong system architecture understanding for network processor-based products.
