Senior Software Engineer (Python) - Automation & Developer Platforms

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role focused on building and operating Python-based automation and internal developer platform services. Work spans CI/CD, quality/compliance automation, and platform reliability.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain Python tools and services (CLI and APIs) for multiple teams
• Improve engineering quality through architecture, testing strategy, code reviews, releases, and documentation
• Automate CI/CD workflows and platform operations using infrastructure-as-code and reliability practices
• Build and operate platform components for monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address workflow pain points and deliver solutions
• Occasionally handle support tickets/incidents including triage, mitigation, and postmortems

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of experience with B.Tech/B.E mentioned in the source
• Production-grade Python experience building services, libraries, or tooling
• Strong engineering practices including code quality, testing, CI, and documentation
• Comfort operating in a DevOps/SRE-style environment with automation-first and monitoring-driven mindset
• Security-aware approach
• Ability to context-switch and learn quickly for systems used by many teams

Nice to have

• CI/CD and platform experience such as Jenkins or Git-based workflows
• Experience with container orchestration
• Experience with documentation tooling and developer experience improvements
