Overview
Join FactSet's Mergers & Acquisitions Data Solutions Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer - Python Fullstack Engineer. Build and maintain data pipelines, tools, and systems supporting M&A data, deals, transactions, valuations, and market intelligence.
What you'll do
- Deliver high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code within estimated timelines.
- Perform unit and integration testing of assigned tasks.
- Provide technical solutions using effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
- Work in an agile team environment and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
- Own the end-to-end product and contribute individually.
- Improve performance using metrics from automatic product monitoring.
- Ensure high product stability.
- Share knowledge internally and externally with the team.
- Collaborate with engineers and Product Developers in a Scrum Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.
- Estimate task sizes and regularly communicate progress in daily standups and biweekly Scrum meetings.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
- 4-6 years of overall industry experience.
- 3-4 years of experience in Python.
- Strong experience and proficiency with Python, Pandas, and FastAPI.
- Strong experience with JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, Vue 3, Pinia, and CSS3.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience with API design and Test Driven Development.
- Experience with AWS cloud and CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Redis, and Pytest.
- Relational database experience, preferably with Postgres and MSSQL.
- Experience with GitHub-based development processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be organized, self-directed, and resourceful, with the ability to appropriately prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building and deploying production-level services.
Nice to have
- GenAI concepts like RAG, AI integration, MCP, spec-driven development, and agentic workflows, AI agents, or agent orchestration.
- Work experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
- Infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Familiarity with Agile software development; Scrum is a plus.
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
