Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications - Ahmedabad, India

Overview

Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications. You’ll own features end-to-end, focus on accessibility, and drive quality, performance, and reliability.

What you'll do

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK and WinUI frameworks.
• Define and enforce Windows desktop best practices across code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, compatibility, and maintainability.
• Drive accessibility by integrating and validating Windows accessibility API support and UI usability features.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders on feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and platform roadmap.
• Own the full feature lifecycle from conception through design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, and compatibility problems.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK or WinUI (or similar) and C# with XAML.
• Additional experience in native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM) ideally.
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed (.NET) and native code.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar).
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals including OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multi-threading/asynchronous programming.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
• Strong communication skills to articulate tradeoffs and collaborate cross-functionally.
