Principal C Engineer

Overview

Principal C Engineer to design and develop new features across Pico’s product range, including ultra-low latency market data and order execution solutions and Corvil Analytics.

What you'll do

• Design and develop new features across Pico’s entire product range.
• Work on ultra-low latency market data and order execution solutions.
• Help solve latency and throughput challenges in electronic trading environments.
• Support real-time and retrospective analysis of performance and execution.
• Bring technology into new markets and new deployment models.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years working in the electronic trading technology space.
• Strong C development proficiency under Linux focused on maintainable code.
• BSc/MSc in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering).
• Strong knowledge of capital markets concepts (e.g., equities, fixed income, trading/order concepts).
• In-depth understanding of electronic trading protocols including FIX.
• Experience building high-performance systems, multi-threaded applications, and computer architecture.
