Senior Software Engineer with Accounting Experience (Chile)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role with accounting and financial experience to build and optimize fintech systems for reporting, reconciliation, and automation workflows.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize systems for financial reporting, reconciliation, and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to ensure data integrity and streamline financial processes.
• Own parts of the software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
• Build and maintain high-quality, testable features aligned to reporting and compliance standards.
• Build reports and automations using Python and SQL.
• Design software applications and features in Golang and help scale a distributed architecture.
• Mentor engineers and shape technical direction.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience for the senior development role.
• At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building and serving REST APIs using Go and Java (and/or Python or similar).
• Comfort leveraging Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated history delivering commercial APIs and web applications.
