Senior Software Engineer with Accounting Experience (LATAM)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role focused on building and scaling financial reporting, reconciliation, and automation systems for fintech.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize systems for financial reporting and reconciliation workflows.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to ensure data integrity and streamline financial processes.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
• Build new features and products for financial process automation.
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Build and scale distributed architecture solutions.
• Mentor engineers and help shape technical direction.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience (senior development role).
• At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building and serving REST APIs using Go and Java, and/or Python or a similar language.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong background in financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, Go) and experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Location: Mexico (Remote).
• Compensation: $5,000–$9,500 gross per month in USD.
