Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Playwright

Overview

Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer focused on Playwright-based test automation, owning complex suites and framework components within Scientific Games' lottery and gaming technology business.

What you'll do

• Design and build automated tests for complex product scenarios.
• Develop and maintain framework components and shared libraries.
• Participate actively in knowledge transfer and become a go-to person for parts of the framework.
• Keep the test suites running in CI/CD: adjust pipelines, configure jobs and secrets, resolve environment issues independently.
• Review test code of engineers and coach them on framework usage.
• Analyse failures, separate product defects from test instability and drive suite stability.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of related experience; 5+ years in test automation with clear ownership of complex suites or framework components.
• TypeScript at a professional level.
• Playwright or comparable modern UI/API automation tooling.
• BDD (Gherkin/Cucumber style) test design.
• Hands-on CI/CD: able to adjust a pipeline, configure a build job, manage secrets and test environment configuration.
• Experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Solid code review practice and test data management.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Lottery, gaming or other regulated-industry background.
• Docker or comparable containerisation experience.
• Performance or API contract testing.

• Location: Bangalore, India.
• Role may require sitting, standing, walking, bending, using hands, operating a computer, and specific vision abilities.
