Senior Staff Backend Engineer

Overview

Senior Staff Backend Engineer responsible for distributed systems, data-processing pipelines, and scalable platform development. The role involves solving large-scale, high-reliability engineering challenges with teams across multiple locations.

What you'll do

• Drive architecture and design for data pipelines and systems.
• Define roadmaps and vision for scalable online-serving platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to make platforms open and extensible.
• Lead mission-critical projects with stakeholders and engineers.
• Decompose complex problems into straightforward solutions.
• Investigate and resolve critical system issues.

What you'll need

• At least 12 years of software design and development experience.
• Experience developing software with Java and Python.
• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
• Experience with large-scale system architecture and development.
• Experience with AWS cloud computing.
• Experience with container-based testing environments and the Java, IntelliJ, and Spring environment.

Details

• Location: Hyderabad.
• Work model: Hybrid, with at least 3 days in the office and up to 2 days working from home each week, subject to role requirements.
