Senior Staff Developer

Overview

Senior Staff Developer for Arctic Wolf’s Aurora Endpoint Security cloud platform, leading modernization and scaling initiatives.

What you'll do

• Architect, design, and deliver highly scalable, resilient, secure cloud-native applications.
• Own architecture decisions across applications and infrastructure.
• Lead large-scale modernization from monolithic to cloud-native, containerized, service-oriented architectures.
• Improve reliability using observability (metrics, logging, tracing, capacity planning, SRE practices, proactive monitoring).
• Define secure-by-design architectures including identity management, encryption, secrets management, threat modeling, compliance controls, and zero-trust principles.
• Lead critical production incident reviews, root-cause analysis, resiliency improvements, and operational readiness programs.

What you'll need

• 13+ years of software engineering experience.
• Significant experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with microservices using Java/Go/.Net, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platforms.
• Expert knowledge of AWS services including compute, networking, caching, storage, messaging, container orchestration, observability, and security services.
• Advanced knowledge of databases including SQL Server, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL with HA, performance tuning, query optimization, partitioning, and replication strategies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform plus CI/CD automation, GitOps workflows, and platform engineering best practices.
• Good frontend experience using React.
