Senior Staff Engineer

Overview

Staff Software Engineer on a team building storage solutions for the most data-intensive workloads.

What you'll do

• Design and develop new features and maintain existing features.
• Analyze bug reports and develop software fixes on multiple platforms.
• Work with the Engineering manager and a geographically distributed team to understand product requirements and features.
• Provide hands-on architecture work, core ownership of the product, and unblock EMF.
• Contribute to and validate product documentation.
• Assist with performance tuning of features for specific environments.

What you'll need

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
• 14+ years of software development experience in Linux environments with Rust and Bash scripting.
• Linux experience is mandatory.
• Strong team player with good communication skills and self-starter.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, and GitHub.
• Prior experience working with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems and/or distributed systems.
