Sr. Staff Engineer

Overview

Senior Staff Engineer providing technical leadership, architecture direction, and hands-on development across the full technology stack.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale distributed systems and modern web applications.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
• Design and build microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Drive scalability, reliability, security, and performance through architecture reviews and optimizations.
• Implement observability using monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in technical leadership roles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in core Java, including concurrency/multithreading, collections, and JVM internals.
• Experience with RESTful API design, versioning, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices/event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Kubernetes/container orchestration.
