Senior Staff Engineer - C++

Overview

Lead the architecture, development, integration, and testing of complex C++ software components and systems, translating user and clinical needs into technical solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead software design and architecture for complex components and systems.
• Develop, integrate, and test software components.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Drive design decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Project Management teams across the development and release lifecycle.
• Drive technology exploration, prototyping, process improvements, and technical documentation.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Modern C++, OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Experience building scalable, modular, and maintainable software components.
• Hands-on experience with Qt/QML and Google Test or similar tools.
• Experience with debugging, code coverage, and analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, software quality, testing, integration, and deployment.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, Git, Perforce, or similar version control tools.
• Technical leadership experience in architecture reviews, mentoring, and regulated software development.
• Medical device software development experience.
• Exposure to 3D mathematics, robotics, navigation, or imaging.
